Public Art Commission for Appalachian State University with Art Collective, Dear Climate

2019-2020; for the Climate Stories Collaborative

Site specific public art installation that takes the form of an open trail marker system across campus that playfully maps cross-disciplinary perspectives on climate change onto the university terrain. As part of this commission, members of the art collective will come to campus for workshops that engage students and faculty with the collective’s creative research methodologies and to offer new perspectives on interdisciplinary collaborations and debates about the climate crisis.  To deepen engagement with the installation, Climate Stories will create a series of educational programs that allow students and faculty to produce their own creative responses to the work.
