Pancake Social

2015

A collaboration between Elsewhere and the Campus Kitchen of Wake Forest University to provide a pancake breakfast, involving screen printing, word play and performance. The project combined Elsewhere's philosophies of southern hospitality, improvisation, accessible weirdness and play, drawing from the grassroots social and political collective actions that are part of the American vernacular.  Pancake Social was hosted by SECCA in March 2015 as part of the museum’s exhibition Collective Actions, organized by curators Cora Fisher and Deborah Reynolds.
